Welcome to the 2013 Spring YA Scavenger Hunt!

Hi!  I’m Josie.

And this tri-annual event was first organized by the amazing Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes!

During the Scavenger Hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, (in my case a super secret TEASER to a TV show I’m working on, a prequel to STARCROSSED), you also get a clue for the hunt.

Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive at least one book from each author on the hunt.  That’s over 50 books!

But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours.

There are TWO contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all.

I am a part of the BLUE TEAM -

- but there is also a RED TEAM which you can also follow for a chance to win a whole different set of books! If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

Today, I am happy to be hosting my dear friend AMY PLUM!!!

Amy and I became friends after I read her first book, DIE FOR ME, while my husband was in the hospital.  His 4 hour surgery turned into a 10 hour ordeal– and as the hours ticked by with no word as to how my love was doing, the only company I had was Amy’s book.  Even though I didn’t know her, I felt like I had a cherished friend sitting right next to me the whole time.  My husband pulled through, and I wrote Amy a long email about how much her writing had comforted and encouraged me through a very dark day.

If you haven’t read any of her books, do yourself a favor and READ THEM!  You might just find a friend in the pages as I did.

Now for her stats!

Amy Plum is the author of the International Bestsellers DIE FOR ME (Indie Next List pick, Romance Times top pick, and recipient of a starred review from School Library Journal) and UNTIL I DIE. The final book of the trilogy, IF I SHOULD DIE, will be released in May 2013.

Amy grew up in Birmingham, Alabama before venturing further afield to Chicago, Paris, London and New York. An art historian by training, she can be found on most days either daydreaming or writing (or both) in a Parisian café.

Her new book is DIE FOR HER.

Here’s a brief summary.

Set in the romantic and death-defying world of the international bestselling Die for Me trilogy, this digital original novella follows Jules, a brooding, immortal French artist who has fallen in love with his best friend’s girlfriend. Jules Marchenoir is a revenant—an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save human lives. He’s spent the better part of the last century flirting his way through Paris, but when he met Kate Mercier, the heroine from Amy Plum’s Die for Me trilogy, he knew his afterlife had changed forever and he had found the love of his life. Until Kate fell for his best friend, Vincent. Now Jules is faced with an impossible decision: choosing between his loyal friend and a love truly worth dying for.

You can buy DIE FOR HER HERE.

Amy is also offering as a special bonus a video of her reading the first chapter of DIE FOR HER. Check it out.

Scavenger Hunt Vulture

  1. Mary Shoemaker says:

If I had to choose between love or fate I would choose love. Thank you for being apart of the YA Scavenger Hunt and for the giveaway.

  2. Love, too shy and bookish for fame – lol.

  3. Maud Grefte says:

Awesome, I only found out about this a couple of days ago but I love the idea! :D

  4. Love, for sure!

  5. gabby Amorelli says:

I would definitely rather have LOVE!!!!

  6. Maud Grefte says:

And as an answer to your question, love :D

  7. I would rather have love, as love lasts forever whereas fame is only short lived and you may never have someone close to you. Love is the most powerful emotion that exists and I would rather have that than be a world wide star yet live alone.

  8. Flavia Claire says:

Mmm… I think life needs both. I’m not one of those oh so romantic persons who think that love comes out of nowhere. In order ti have love I think you need a little bit of fame, or you little moment of fame (not talking about celebrity like fame), but having fame without love would be… Empty

  9. Love, most definitely. :)

  10. shelby von wahl says:

I would rather have love than fame any day. Sooo exited!

  11. Megan Austin says:

I would prefer to have love than fame, because fame is only fun when you have someone to share it with! I think that has to be the cheesiest thing I’ve ever said..

  12. I’d choose love, fame is a neat idea, but I think it would get tiring after a while, everyone expects so much of those that are famous, and everything you do is up for judgment and speculation.

Love is key to living, shoot, its even the key to fame. People are famous because other people either love them, or love what they do.

  13. Which would you rather have – love or fame?
    Love! :)

  14. Jennifer Lancaster says:

Which would you rather have – love or fame? I would much rather have love hands down.

  15. I’m really looking forward to reading GODDESS! Best wishes on the Scavenger hunt! Have fun :-)

  16. Hi, Josie! I’m Italian! I think that this is a great opportunity, so I have to take part!

  17. Sarah Sottosanti says:

Can’t wait for Goddess!! Counting down the days :)

  18. Charlotte Beedles says:

I would choose love, as that is what everything is powered on.

  19. Love for me because love is life. If you miss love, you miss life.

  20. Definitely love!!!Amazing giveaway!Greetings from Greece! :)

  21. Jenny Skagerstrand says:

I would choose love. Fame can be a very empty existence if you don’t have anyone to share it with…

  22. I’d rather have love :)

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  23. Annaiss @SMW says:

    Love, love is all!

  24. Love, no question! Awesome post. Love Amy’s books:)

  25. Abi Woodrow says:

    That is love for sure!
I can see why one would choose fame- there is a certain amount of immortality that surrounds it, like your name will live on, longer than yourself.
But, at the end of the day, love is about the right here right now, present moment, love can help people grow, become better, on a less material basis.
Its somebodies relationships with others that make them memorable- how they treat people and if they loved their neighbor, as the quote goes:
The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

  26. June Butka says:

Good Luck with the Scavenger Hunt. I look forward to reading your books.

  27. Maryrose Moore says:

I think I would rather have love because fame is nothing without love. :)

  28. Love, with fame you can’t tell who’s really there for you from those who just want to know a celebrity
or that’s what I imagine! haha

  29. I’d rather have fame!

  30. I’d choose love, no question!

  31. Love or fame … it would have to be love all the way!!! Life is much happier that way!

  32. Id rather have love(:

  33. I’d definitely want love! I love this series! thanks for the giveaway!

  34. Love for sure, fame will ofcourse be nice but i rather be unknown, have an private life and live that life with my one true love.

  35. I have to choose love because if you love, you don’t need fame, but if you have got the fame, you need love. Love is power. If you have got love you feel powerful, you don’t need anything else and you feel that you can do everything.

  36. Ah, but of course I’d chose love! When you and so many other amazing authors write about such loves, how can you not prefer it?

  37. Definitely love, I’ve never wanted fame.

  38. Dervla Candon says:

    Love, no question about it!

  39. Jennifer says:

    thanks so much about giveaway

  40. I would rather have love. What good is fame without someone to share it with?

  41. Hey,

I really love your books! Can’t wait for Goddess (and although it’s odd, I’m German and the german Edition is already out, but I’m waiting for the english edition :D).

    Also.. I choose Love. :)

  42. Love. Fame is something I’d try to actively avoid!

  43. I’d say Love, Fame is fleeting and not going to like you when your old and saggy

  44. I can not wait to read Goddess. I hope it come out soon! Thank you for the giveaway!

  45. Love, definitely.

  46. Giselle says:

  47. I would definitely choose love. Even if at sometime in the future I got my own book published, I’d rather have a few fans who love my book rather than be famous. Love is the best feeling in the world. Fame fades.

  48. Love!

  49. MaríaT says:

    I prefer love, always love.

    Besos Josie ♥

  50. Definitely love!!!

  51. Love! so much more important

  52. I think I’d choose love – I don’t do well with public speaking!

  53. I would rather have love because love can give you the happiness you need in life and that’s the most important to me ! :)

  54. Krutula says:

Nothing could be more important than love

  55. Love, definitely love.

Fame is fleeting and only really strokes the ego. Love, if it’s true and strong, is so much more.

  56. I’d much rather have love. I don’t think I could handle the fame. I enjoy my privacy too much. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  57. My first thought was “love, duh,” but I don’t know. Does one really choose love? There’s a part of of that see’s someone else and can’t help (literally) the feelings of attraction. But I do believe there are crucial moments when we choose love, even if our feelings aren’t on board. Signing up for love isn’t always a luxury, but it’s always rewarding. So, yes, Love :)

  58. LOVE!

Fame will be fleeting, but real love never goes away

  59. Well, that’s a piece of cake! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! =)

  60. Definitely love! A private life full of love sounds perfect to me :)

  61. If I had to choose between love or fame I would choose love in a heartbeat! Fame is nice but having fame without having love is not worth it.

  62. Courtney Hill says:

I would definitely want fame. I’ve had love and it’s not all its cracked up to be.

  63. Theresa C says:

If I had to chose between love or fame I would definetly chose love. We were created to love and fame only lasts for a short period of time. Love is eternal and never ends. Without love what would we be…….

  64. Samantha Fox says:

Definitely too shy for fame. Every time I have to speak in front of my class, nothing but stammering comes out. So fame is definitely a no go. But love? Well…I am a hopeless romantic at heart!

Thanks for the giveaway! Love these books so darn much! :)

  65. Lacey T says:

    I’d rather have love!

  66. great question!
I would definitely choose love! i don’t like standing in the spotlight XD and i don’t think fame would make you that happy, if you’ve got nobody to share it with (:

btw i’m patiently waiting for goddess (it’s already available in german i think, but i would rather read it in english! :D)

  67. Jessica Russell says:

    No question, definitely love!

  68. Josefina Carlos says:

I would chose love over fame, because I rather live my life as normally as possible without having to worry about how I look, or what I say, or even what I do. I love being carefree, and having fame would probably not allow me that liberty.

  69. As some famous guys once said, “All you need is love.” I’m not famous, but if famous people are telling me that love is more important, I totally believe them. Without a doubt, I choose love.

  70. LOve definitely. Fame can be a very fickle thing and not always what it’s cracked up to be, but once you’ve found true love, you still have to work for it but I believe its longer lasting and holds deeper meaning. :D

    Thanks for awesome giveaway. :D

  71. Love, I would want have someone meaningful in my life that knows me rather than have everyone think they know the real me.

  72. clothes_w says:

    Love, no doubt about it.

  73. Kristin Bernet says:

So Excited for your new book to come out! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Lucas and Helen to finally be together.

I would always choose love over fame!

  74. Kathy L. says:

Love what good is fame if you have no one to share it with.

  75. Kellani says:

I would choose love over fame anyday.

  76. India Barnett says:

No matter how much I would love having fame and being in the spotlight(major diva here), I would always go for love, because while fame is fleeting, love lasts forever :)

  77. Love! I dont think I could take on fame! cant wait to read Goddess!!! Thanks for the awesomesauce giveaway!

  78. Crystal A. says:

    Love, definitely love

  79. Maariyah says:

I would choose love. Without love what is life?

  80. Love. Always love.

  81. Um…choose between love or fate…fate because its always gonna get ya in the end

  82. no question about it, i would choose love

  83. Love, no questions asked!

I’m really not good at being in the spotlight, and fame as you can see from some of the famous people around, is not worth it!

  84. Cali W. says:

Love for sure!!! <3 <3 Thanks for the giveaway!!

  85. Love, but a little bit of fame would be nice hehe :)

  86. If I had to choose between love or fame? I would choose Love. Simply because I would rather be unknown and loved than famous and unloved.

  87. Of course love!!! How sad life would be without it!

  88. I’d rather have love.

  89. Definitely love! Thanks for the giveaway!

  90. Everyone’s saying love, but I think I’d prefer fame… Because love makes you vulnerable, and yes it makes you happy and can last forever; but what can make you happy can make you sad just as quickly… So fame.

  91. Love all the way!

  92. I would much rather have love over fame.

  93. Jacqueline says:

  94. _Sandra_ says:

Forever sucker for a good love story, so I would always choose love. :) Thanks for a giveaway!

  95. Sorry, I think my first comment went to a different post. *blush*

    I’d definitely say love. :)

  96. I choose Love because fame is short lived

  97. Monique says:

Love all the way… no question :)

  98. sarahsongbyrd says:

Love. Fame, at least with big celebrities, means that someone is always watching, waiting for you to fall. Yes, I would love to be famous, but love is way more important in the long run. That’s my opinion.

  99. Daisy R says:

    Love, of course!

  100. MaryAngelica Rivodo says:

love. i can live without fame but not without love.

  103. Jaime H says:

I would rather have love than fame. :)

  104. Victoria Zumbrum says:

Definitely love. Fame is nothing if you dont have love.

  105. I think love is more important than fame. Without love and support from others, fame is meaningless.

  106. I guess I’m like Achilles: I’d rather be remembered for forever for my contributions to humanity (fame) than to be happy now (love). Plus, love always seems to disappoint.

Also, I’m so glad you’re participating! I’ve seen rave reviews for your books, but I never managed to find your site:( I also now know the titles, so I’ll be able to read the books at last:)

  107. Stephanie Ehmann says:

Love of course! Otherwise you wouldnt have crazy fans like me:)

  108. Jessica says:

    I would chose love.
Not the mushy kind of love, but the love of friends and family.
I don’t want to be famous, I would rather stay unknown XD

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  109. I would rather have love.

  110. Hmmmmmm. So not many people said fame….That’s a hard question…I think it depends. I would chose fame over love if it was for something good, like curing a disease or creating something that could save people. I think that an unintentional fame would be okay. And as for love, I would choose the love of my dog over fame.

  111. Alex U. says:

    I would rather have love.

  112. Sara Gordon says:

Love. I do not like so many people paying attention to me. I just need to be with the one that loves me.

  113. Raychelle Smith says:

I would much rather have love. ❤ It is important in my life.

  114. Love. With love, you can have an inspiration/motivation on your way to fame. It can act as a catalyst as you’re willing to do anything for the things and the people you love.

  115. Stelina Papagianneli says:

Definetely love :) <3 There is no better feeling than to love and be loved in return.

  116. Becky M. says:

    Love. Fame scares me :O

  117. G Zimmerman says:

I would deffinetley choose love. With love, no matter where you are, as long as you are with your love, you are home. With the support of the person you love, fame is easily within reach from there! And with fame, what fun would it be if you had no one to share it with?!

  118. Love the story of you and Amy! And I would definitely choose love! I’d rather have one friend, then be the most famous person in the world. Thanks for the giveaway! (:

  119. Camila Lorusso says:

    Love, always love

  120. Francine Soleil Pinpin says:

    Love over fame~

  121. Ally Duncan says:

i would choose love :) Fame is nice and all that but what good is being famous if you dont have someone to share it with you?

  122. I would rather have love, definately

  123. Courtney says:

LOVE! Without love, what’s the point in living? Plus, if you wanted fame you certainly wouldn’t get there without encouragement and support from the people who love you!

  124. Carey Tran says:

  126. I would definitely rather have love- what good is that life of fame if you have no-one to share it with?

  127. Kayla Prada says:

Love no question! Sure fame is nice but worthless if you have no one to share it with! Thank you for the giveaway!

  128. I would definitely rather have love! Fame is okay, but not the kind of attention I’d want 24/7

  129. Emily Huff says:

For me I would have to say love.

  130. Brandy H says:

    Definitely love!

  131. Love! I value my privacy and I think fame really changes a person and not always in a good way.

  132. Definitely love. I hate being the center of attention!

  133. Fame as in celebrity status? Coz then it’d be love for sure. But if it was fame for something significant, such as an awesome invention or a cure for cancer, then it would have to be fame (and I’d actually be spreading the love that way :P).

  134. Life would be empty without love.

  135. Definitely love because if you don’t have love you don’t have anything.

  136. I would rather have love. I think I would be much happier, and I agree that happiness can be inspirational and make you productive enough to earn fame.

  137. Tonnelle Driesen says:

    I would rather have… love- no wait… fame… – no I was right most definitely LOVE! ;)

  138. Sarah Bauman says:

I dream of being famous, is that too much to ask?
Love is overrated. ( The romantic sense at least). You always feel love from family and friends!

  143. Michelle Bitner Smith says:

  144. Caila Ferrie says:

I’d rather have fame. Just so I can meet other famous people. Thanks for the contest!

  145. I would choose love. It would be a very lonely road without love in your life.

  146. Mariella says:

I would chose love definitely, a life without love is not complete. But fame is not vital, plus I don’t like being the center of attention.

  147. Ooo, toughie toughie, especially for a drama geek like me :P But of course, love :D Thanks for the amazing giveaway!!!

  148. I want love because that equals happiness and fame doesn’t give you just as much, that’s more fir the greedy!

  149. Daniela Hinojos says:

I choose love..above everything. Fame goes away so easily, and it doesnt leave anything good behind, but love, can gave you memories, and inspiration, and who knows what else..;)

  150. Chyna Ngie says:

I’d rather have fame because love only brings heartbreaks and I’ve experienced that enough :P so yeah…LOL

  151. Love every time. I believe that fame does not bring happiness, at least not always, just because people recognize you or look up to you does not mean that you will feel complete or successful. Nothing can make you feel as good, or as bad, as love does.

  152. Love of course!

  153. Cassandra says:

    Love all the way! :)

  154. Heidi G says:

    LOVE, definitely.

    LOVE ..!!! L-O-V-E

  161. love! who needs fame when you have love. i sure don’t :)

  162. I’ve heard great things about these books! I would definitely choose love, fame is overrated!

  163. Love definitely!

  164. Love of course!

But since I’ve already found love…. Can I have fame now? :D

Thanks for the chance to win!

  165. Love is all you need!!

  166. Melissa Robles says:

    Love it is <3

  167. Amanda Brown says:

Love, that is something i couldn’t live without. The love of family, friends, pets and your other half. Fame just doesn’t compare.

  168. Love, of course. Its fun looking at people rise to fame but I don’t think I want that for me. I’m uncomfortable being in the spotlight.

  169. Stephanie P. says:

    Love. <3

  170. Love all the way!

  171. Hayley H says:

what is the point of fame without love???? always love! <3 <3 <3

  172. FAME! Haha I’m just kidding, definitely love ;)

  173. Love, definitely. It keeps me warm at night.

  174. Christin says:

Love, for sure! Fame usually vanishes quickly, fans don’t always stay fans. But being bonded by love should be stronger than that :)

  175. love because whats fame without someone to share it with. talk about lonely.

  176. I have been wanting to read your book since it’s out ! It’s sound great. Thanks for this great give away !

I would choose love, once you’re loved, you’re famous for one person and it’s enough !

  177. LOVE!!

What are all the greatest (and most FAMEous) stories all about??? Love. I would rather have a love that people remember me for. No matter how hard you try to maintain your fame there would always be someone trying to break you down. With Love there’s always someone trying to build you up….

  178. I would choose love :)

  179. Mary Perez says:

LOVE absolutely! which I believe once you find it, it’s a forever kind of thing. :D

  180. love, love, love and then fame ;)

  181. Veronika says:

    Definitely LOVE!

  182. Hi there,

    Thanks for the giveaway! x

  185. It has to be Love!

  186. The story how you discovered Amy is a really moving one. Glad you two are friends now because I’m pretty sure that one day you’ll rule the world :)

I would always choose love because I imagine being famous is such a hassle. Always having paparazzi with you and being recognized all the time. And to love and being loved in return is such an amazing feeling!

    Hi Josie,

Thank you for again beeing part of the hunt..it’s fun to explore all these authors :)

  193. Definitely rather have love!

  194. MaryBeth says:

I would definitely pick LOVE! Fame doesn’t give you the true long lasting happiness that love can give.

  195. Love, of course! Fame would only stress me out.

  196. eli yanti says:

  209. What would I do with fame if I had no one to love? Or better, no one who actually loves me?
I don’t wanna be lonely in a crowd of people!

  210. Stephanie Carrico says:

    , LOVE…..as an introvert….horribly shy….fame would be the death of me…..LOVE for sure….

  212. Sonia (Frenchy) says:

I would rather have love and not fame!! Like everybody:what is fame of you don’t have anyone to share it with? You don’t need fame to have a happy life, but you do need love… It would kill me if I had no one to love! You wouldn’t have a purpose in your life!

  213. Lis Carcamo says:

I alwauys jock with my friends telling them that I rather love than fame, but that’s not true. You can’t be complete if you don’t have love. So, is love!

  214. Desiree says:

I would definitely rather have love. What is fame if there is no one to love and cheer you on?

  215. Felicia says:

Love over fame any day of the week.

  216. Laurie Milne says:

I would choose love. Fame holds no interest for me at all.

  217. I would definitely choose love.

  218. Well, I’ve never been famous so I don’t know how it feels like, to have all those people like you and your work, but I’m in love and I know it feels wonderful! :)
    Thank you for the giveaway!

  219. Pauline Durbin says:

    Love- hands down love!

  220. Susana Uribe says:

That’s a difficult one… I think that i would chose love because if you have love then you have everything

  221. Sabine G. says:

I would definitly choose love, I’m not interested in fame.

  222. LOVE! Couldn’t survive without the love!

Thanks for the giveaway, and participating in #YASH!

  223. Becky Williams says:

  224. Definitely love! Without love, fame is empty and not satisfying. I would be miserable if I was famous, but none of my fans loved me, nor did any of my friends and family love me. Definitely love. I am currently not famous and enjoy the love of family and friends. That is enough for me. =)

  225. Antonia♥ says:

Love all the way. I don’t want the fame, I’m not that kind of person.

  226. Love. definitely.

  227. Kajal Kaushal says:

  229. Annie Xiong says:

I’d pick love over fame any day

  230. Definitely love!

Nothing can compare to love and the feeling of love. There is nothing in the world more beautiful or tragically vulnerable as that of love. It is something that everyone should feel at least once in their lives because it is worth it. Love will always be worth every obstacle and every heartbreak because in the end love is what we live for. It is what keeps us going even if we do not know it and its powerful force that takes even the most strong and hard-hearted people and turns them into weak, loving creatures.

Never mess with love and never let it go!

  231. I love the YA Scavenger Hunt! Thanks!

  232. Definitely Love!

  233. Love, hands down :)

  234. I would chose definitely love!! Fame is nothing without love.

  235. Dawn Ritchie says:

    Love love love.

  236. I would much rather have love. After all, what good is fame if you’re all alone?

  237. Caroline says:

    I would choose love.

  238. I would rather have love. Fame can only last so long while love can last a lifetime.
    Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  239. Honestly? Probably fame, cos the people I’m in love with happen to be celebrities, so in order to meet them… Yeah, probably fame.

  240. okay i changed my mind, love all the way, knowing my luck if i was famous, i’d end up alone anyway, so yeah, love:P

  241. L O V E !!

foh show,, I don’t think I’m the kind of person who could handle all of that fame well,. I could not even begin to imagine how awful it would be to not even be able to leave my house and go to grocery store without the paparazzi following me!

  242. Definitely love!

  243. People find out entirely too much about famous people. I couldn’t handle all that so Love wins for me.

  244. I would definitely rather have love than fame. Most people who are famous I think, would agree! Fame can be fleeting, but love can be forever; especially if you find the right person!

  245. Most definitely love! :)

  246. Kathi F says:

Fame doesn’t make you happy without people who love you, so I guess my answer is obvious. ;)

  247. Sophia K. says:

    Love. No question there.
Thanks for the great contest and for being a part of the YASH. It’s such a fun opportunity! :D

  248. Personally I would take love any day. What’s the good being famous if you are lonely and don’t have anyone to share it with.

  249. Manfred says:

    I’d take love over fame!

  250. Katherina Barney says:

LOVE your books!!!! Been entering all your giveaways (pretty much) and have YET to win any!! :( But I keep trying :)

I would rather have love because fame never lasts that long and can sometimes ruin a good thing, like your reputation.

  251. Birgitte Stage says:

If I had to choose between love and fame I would definitely choose love. I guess it is what most people would. Fame might generate some love from your fans, and it would probably we fantastic, but I still don’t think it can beat true love. So I’m team love all the way.

  252. Tessa K. says:

I would rather have love then fame, what good is being famous when you spend your life alone?

  253. I’d choose love any day. :)

  254. Paige Schwartz says:

I am a lover, not a hater. I have to have love in my life. I rather have someone by my side than to worry about how others think of me.

  255. Zitmarie says:

Definitely love! There is nothing better

  256. Kristen S says:

I would definitely rather have love! I can’t wait for goddess! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!!:D

  257. Heather says:

Love. Thanks for the great contest!

  258. Love always Love!!!! ^_^

    Thanks for the giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  259. Andleeb says:

    Love, of course <3

  260. Yun-A K. says:

I think I would go for love.

Thank you so much for the giveaway. I can’t wait to read Goddess.

  261. Love for sure! Who wants fame? Fame does involve work and (hey not saying love doesn’t require work, but come on, love is better) the paparazzi, people getting judgey, stalkers…who wants that? Love is just amazing and great feeling and heartbreaking. Its a clear winner.

  262. shan uy says:

First of, thank you for being a part of the YASH!
I would rather have love – it’s probably the most amazing and magical thing in the world.

  263. I would rather have love, it would get very lonely having people only around you for your fame.

  264. Maggie F says:

Love – always love, because true love is better having experienced it than never at all, and no matter how much you may hate someone you love at particular times, it’s always better to have someone with you in your life. Fame comes and goes, but no one knows you for you personally and instead they only know the image of you.

  265. I don’t consider myself a person who blindly chooses love when it could lead to my downfall/suffering, but I don’t see myself choosing fame either, especially since I wouldn’t have any privacy and my life would most probably go downhill. So I guess the lesser of two evils would be love, since there’s always that chance it will work out. ;)

  266. What a silly question. Of course love.

  267. Jessica Chadwick says:

Love. It’s way more valueable than money.

  268. I would rather have love!

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! :)

  269. Chelsea says:

Love or fame??? … why not have both :)
But seriously I would choose love. It would just make you feel happy all the time that you have someone there with you who loves you for who you are, rather than a fan loving you for what they’ve seen.

  270. I would choose love. Fame would only be so much fun, then it would probably get old and really lonely fast.

  271. Kelley McElyea says:

  272. not really into paparazzi. love. :-)

  273. I’d want to have love, rather than fame! Sure fame would be nice, at first, but eventually it would get lonely. When you have love, there is always someone there, even if they’re not physically near you.

  274. Samantha says:

That’s an easy decision for me. I have this thing about people staring at me. It really freaks me out. There is no way I could ever handle fame. I’d end up in the looney bin or go postal on someone. Plus, who in their right mind would pass up love? Life wouldn’t be worth living if it wasn’t for love.

  275. Definitely love! Fame never really appealed to me much.

  276. Sydney Manson says:

i would pick love :) you’re awesome for this amazing giveaway! ps I absolutely LOVE starcrossed & dreamless, so excited for goddess :) xoxo

  279. Love!
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  280. Christina T says:

I would choose Love, especially in our new multi-media generation where nothing is sacred anymore and fame is so intrusive.

  281. Filia Oktarina says:

    I would choose love!!

  282. Definitely love!

  283. Charlene says:

Love :) it would definitely last wayyy longer than fame could, and would probably give me more joy, knowing that someone has such deep feelings for me, and doesn’t just like me because of the fame, which if i did have, then i would most likely never truly know love… does that make sense? ah well .. baiscally i chose LOVE ;)

  284. Carly Jayne says:

Love, for sure. Especially if it’s Hector ;)

  285. Definitely LOVE! You can be happy with LOVE even if your poor ;)

  286. Which would you rather have – love or fame?

    Love all the way!

  287. Manuela says:

    I’d choose love

  288. Love all the way!

  289. alicia marie says:

    Definitely love : )

  290. Nasiba D says:

Love all the way! if you’re able to love then you will know happiness. Fame doesn’t buy love nor happiness, just a lonely life with money you cant be bothered spending anymore.

As always, thanks for the giveaway Josie xx

  291. Love most definitely. Fame would feel great at the start, but love would feel great for your entire life (If it lasted, of course)

  292. Definitely love! Always.

  293. How do we get the password for the teaser?

  294. Love. Hands down!

  295. Kathrin H. says:

Love! Fame can pass by, but true love never fades.

  296. Lillie Moss says:

I’m gonna sick with the majority. Definitely love.

  297. Love! Because I’m way too shy to be famous and I think it would be boring and hard work. Love is much more important to me.

  298. i would choose love, defenitely

  299. Definitely Love!

  300. Love!

  301. Love

  302. Love. I think fame can bring unhappiness and loneliness.

  303. Darith L. says:

    Love definitely. :D

  304. <3 I love your books!

  305. I would rather have love than fame!

  306. Love. Always LOVE.

  307. Definitely love. You can make your own fame, and being famous alone would be very lonely and depressing.

Your story about reading Ms. Plum’s book was so sweet. Thanks for being part of the scavenger hunt!

  308. I would rather have love over fame.

  309. Sh'dynasty says:

I would definitely rather have love =]

  310. Kassandra Fuentes says:

I would rather have love :).

  311. LOVE!!

    Thanks for the international giveaway!!

    Rafflecopter name – Rose Lennart

  312. Kaitlin Snider says:

    I would definitely choose love.

Thanks for the great giveaway. :)

  313. Jaime G. says:

Definitely love. I’m not sure that being famous would be too fun anyway – no privacy! Thanks for the giveaway, I love your Starcrossed series :)

  314. Darrellarose says:

  315. You can be happy with fame, but it isn’t true happiness. Money and Fame can’t buy everything. The one thing it can’t buy is love. To love someone is pure happiness.

I would most definitely choose love.

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  316. Christina Bodden says:

For me, if I had to choose between love and fame, I would choose love. I choose love because having the love, true love, and knowing it is there for you to grasp and to hold is better than the judgement of others only wanting your fame or the fakeness of it all.

The thing about love, once you have it, you feel like you are the center of people’s affection and you know it is true.

    Thank you!

  317. Rachael M says:

Easy, love all the way! & thanks for the extra giveaway!

  318. Tiffaney says:

Love. I am not out going enough to be famous. Thanks for the giveaway

  319. I would choose love, I think that being loved, and loving someone can hurt but still is worth the hurt.

  320. johnnie-marie howard says:

love of course you can always get fame..

  321. Cassie Hileman says:

Love! As if there was any other option!

  322. love

  323. I’d rather have love than fame.

  324. Brittney Baltera says:

    Always love :)

  325. Anastasia Miller says:

LOVE wins every time! :) Thanks for the giveaway!

  326. I would rather have love. Fame would be rather lonely without it – there’s a lot of hiding and dodging paparazzi and such with fame, and the inability (a lot of times, I’m sure) to know whether people are befriending you because of your money and notoriety, or because of who you are. I would gladly turn down fame for love.

  327. Francesca says:

I would rather have love than fame. What’s the point of having fame when your lonely and loveless when you could have love and never be alone?

  328. Love; I would never want to be famous because I like my privacy too much!

  329. Kristen F. says:

Love because if you get lost in love it’s ok but if you get lost in fame you get backstabbed and selfish.

  330. Armando Read says:

Fame, I know that doesn’t sound good (or not more good than love) but I need to say the true.

  331. Rachael Hanson says:

Love!! Fame is too much pressure.

  332. Jacklin Updegraft says:

    Love is all you need!

  333. Shannon says:

Love. With fame everything you do everyone will find out about you.

  334. Erin Visco says:

Between love and fame, I would rather get love because- love? It’s the epitome of a human life. Without it, life has no meaning. It’s the reason why Life has to keep on moving, why you have to stay alive. With fame, you get adored, but you rarely get true love.

  335. Valeria V. says:

Fame, Love surrounds us in many ways.

  336. Victoria Choy says:

    I would choose love (: <3

  337. I would have love. Fame would be perfect it you could truly have everything. Thank you :]

  338. Without a doubt, I will always choose love.

  339. I don’t even have to think about that one — LOVE!! I hate, hate, HATE being the center of attention and have never, not once dreamed about becoming famous. I don’t know how folks (like yourself!) handle it! :)

  340. I would say love because while fame is great, it can easily be taken away, love is stronger than that.

  341. Love.

  342. Cassandra says:

Love. Definitely. Thanks for the giveaway!

  343. LOL I should say Fame just because I have a feeling hardly anyone says that! But of course, it’s love :) Thanks for the giveaway ♥

  344. Pauline Paje says:

    I choose love. At least, that’s what I think now… :D

thank you for another giveaway! I hope I win this time! *cross fingers*

  345. i already have Love…. so I’d have to say Fame!!

  346. I would rather have love being the hopeless romantic that I am.
fame seems a bit meaningless eventually they will forget you move on and you will be alone with all the money you have made. At least if you have love you will be remember and mean something to someone, you will have someone to share your life with and be happy with.
but that is just my thought.

  347. I happen to be a very unromantic person, so I’d have to say fame- though of the good kind!

    Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  348. Love. I don’t even particularly want to be famous. But love? To quote Moulin Rouge: Love is a many splendid thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love. <3

  349. nurmawati djuhawan says:

    i want love :)

  350. s from oh! paper pages says:

I would rather have love. Fame has no value or attraction for me. I would rather be loved by someone – friend, family, or spouse than have someone ask me for an autograph.

  351. Rachel Chan says:

    I’d rather have love :)
Because I feel that although fame does not guarantee happiness, being with the person you truly love does!

  352. airhead says:

Fame would be awesome, but I’d have to choose love, because what’s fame someone to share it with?

  353. Love will always come first :D

  354. Monica A. says:

Definitely love, fame would be lonely without love.

  355. Love, 100% of the time, love.

  356. I’m going to take the road less travelled by and choose FAME.
I find LOVE too confusing whereas FAME is pretty straightforward. With love it’s you dont but you do but then you really love them but is it love? (see the confusion) but fame is just known or unknown, popular or not, rich or poor.

  357. Most definitely love. Love can fix just about everything. Fame breaks just about everything.

  358. Gene Lee says:

I would rather have love because if you find the right person, love can last forever. Fame doesn’t always, and if you have fame but no love, that’s a recipe for disaster.

  359. I’d rather have love (and still waiting for it !)
    Thanks for the giveaway !

  360. Ellen Trieu says:

Hi Josephine! Wow, that’s a tough question but I would probably choose love! I’m always thinking of the future and who I will end up with and it’s an exciting but scary thing to think of! (: <3

  361. Katharina Schramm says:

I would also love…because without love life would be a lot emptier without it!!

I´m so excited that you take part in the scavenger hunt…I sure hope I got the right number!! I would so love to win your books :)

  362. love!!! fame can’t keep you truly warm at night.

  363. JESSICA WARE says:

    love always love!!

  366. Courtney Ratzell says:

Love of course! Fame doesn’t last forever.

  367. I would choose love no question. :)

  368. Love.

  369. I think one of the greatest rewards in life is to love and be loved by others. Plus, with fame comes with a lot of negative baggage that I don’t think I’m apt to handle. Most famous people look unhappy a good portion of the time.

Thanks for participating in YASH and for hosting this additional giveaway!

    ~Christina(2227) from The Book Hookup

  370. Love!! A far more rewarding experience than fame could ever be!

  371. Ileana A. says:

    Always love! :D

  372. Hi, I don’t usually comment more than once, but I wanted to let you know how much I love your books. When I first read them I was supposedly studying for exams, but I ended up studying the night before because i just couldn’t put your books down they were just too addictive. I’m counting down the days until Goddess, it’s literally marked on my calendar!

  373. I would rather have love then fame. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  374. I’d rather have love, def :)

  375. Emma Gill says:

Definitely love whether friends family or romance

  376. Love!
