Welcome to the Winter YA Scavenger Hunt!

This tri-annual event was first organized by the amazing Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes!

During the Scavenger Hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author (in my case the first chapter of GODDESS, the final book in the STARCROSSED Trilogy!), you also get a clue for the hunt.

Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive at least one book from each author on the hunt.  That’s over 50 books!

But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours.

There are TWO contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all.

I am a part of the RED TEAM -

- but there is also a BLUE TEAM which you can also follow for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

Today, I am happy to be hosting E.C. Myers!

E.C. Myers was assembled in the U.S. from Korean and German parts and raised by a single mother and a public library in Yonkers, New York. He has published short fiction in a variety of print and online magazines and anthologies, and his young adult novels, Fair Coin and Quantum Coin, are available now from Pyr Books. He currently lives with his wife, a doofy cat, and a mild-mannered dog in Philadelphia and shares way too much information about his personal life at ecmyers.net and on Twitter @ecmyers.

His new book is Quantum Coin.

Here’s a brief summary.

Ephraim thought his universe-hopping days were over, but then an old friend from a parallel world crashes his senior prom and tells him the multiverse is in trouble—and it might just be his fault. Ephraim; his girlfriend, Jena; and Zoe, her identical twin from another universe embark on a mission across multiple worlds to learn what’s going wrong and how to stop it. Ultimately, the solution may depend on how much they’re willing to sacrifice for the sake of humanity…and each other.

You can buy the book HERE.

E.C. is also offering exclusive content from Quantum Coin, an alternate chapter from an early draft of the book. The link is password-protected.  The password is: crossroads

To view the content, click HERE.

Directions: I’ve listed my favorite number somewhere in this post. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the red team, and then add them up.

Entry Form: Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form HERE to officially qualify for the grand prize.

Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, December 2nd at noon, Pacific time.

(NOTE: Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.)

While you’re here, be sure and enter my contest to win a signed copy of my novel DREAMLESS, the second book in the Starcrossed Trilogy, as well as a signed copy of STARCROSSED!

In order to enter you must do the following:

Probably Artemis goddess of the hunt, moon and wild animals because she just seems plain awsome from everything I’ve heard about her (and I’m on a hunt right now!) or Hestia goddess of the hearth because she seems rather humble compared to many of the other Greek Gods and Goddesses. Thanks for the giveaway, now I’m off to hunt! :)

  70. She seems so popular. My favorite is Athena too. Maybe this explains the rise of kick ass heroines in YA. Though I will say that once I found out what Athena did to Medusa I liked her a lot less. But all the Gods and Goddess weren’t terribly nice.

There’s no doubt in my mind that she would stand up for what she believes in in front of millions of people and would follow her dreams, cutting down any obstacle in her way. That’s a complete inspiration to me because I’m very shy and a complete wallflower that’s afraid of failure.
